Austria Relocation Guide

Overview

Welcome to Austria — a compact, travel-friendly European base with top-tier public services, mountains and cities that make it easy to design a slow, comfortable life. For Canadian digital nomads — and especially Black women seeking a “soft life abroad” — Austria can offer safety, efficient systems, beautiful seasonal living and a strong expat scene. Expect crisp public transit, excellent healthcare once you’re registered, and easy flights to the rest of Europe.

This guide focuses on practical next steps: visas and residency choices, how Canada–Austria tax rules interact with your digital-nomad income, where to live, how to plug into community, and the admin that makes a smooth move possible.
